This season we have a delightful sweater called "lacey tunic" designed by Beautia Dew.  She uses a very basic crochet technique on the collar of the sweater called "the crab stitch".  This is basically a backwards single crochet to neatly strengthen the edge of a garment.  You can use this stitch on the edge of any garment for extra strength or extra interest if you use a contrasting color fiber.
