Well hey there!
I hope you have a comfy chair...and perhaps knitting supplies, because we are about to fill your head with fantastic patterns, interesting information, and loads of resources!
You might be asking yourself...what in the hell is the "fibertarian"? Well, I like to imagine it as a newspaper in a make-believe nation where people can wallow in the wonderful soft, fluffiness of a good wool, a cloud of cotton, a pile of cashmere or any fiber you like, without the nuisance of disheartening information about the stock market, photographs of war, depressing stories and annoying photos of couples who have recently married. The Fibertarian is "all fiber, all the time"!
What you will find inside:
Our Pattern Index:
Here you will find patterns from all over the world. This season we have designers from here in Japan, America, the Islands off the Scottish Hebrides, Canada, and a few other countries. These people come from all walks of life, bringing to the table their knitting backgrounds, their personal inspiration and their cultural heritage, which has made for a really interesting collection this season!
Our articles:
In our first issue, the fibertarian is introducing a few staple articles that will be in our magazine seasonally.
Iiiiii Tokoro: This is a column that will feature a new "good place" to get knitting supplies. We hope to showcase interesting places in Tokyo, Kansai area, or anywhere in Japan that might help you enhance your own knitting experience.
New Frontiers: is an article that may assist you in broadening your repertoire. If you are an experienced knitter, hopefully we can show you something new!
The Basics: ....I think you can guess what this is....a good place for beginners to have a look and try their hand at simple techniques that might give them a better outcome. We want to help you increase the quality of your knit work!
Also, feel free to write our editor, Mr. BeBee, for any advice you might need on knitting, wool care, or advice about life. He will be more than glad to take your question, and publish it in next season's issue!
